Chinese lanterns

I love the colours that nature creates at this time of year, from deep browns and rusts to warm yellows and oranges. That's why I enjoyed designing this Chinese lantern print for my Spoonflower shop, that comes in shades of yellow, orange and red with deep green leaves.

This print would look great as a wallpaper on a statement wall in the home. There are a choice of wallpaper types in my Spoonflower shop, from peel and stick to a gorgeous grasscloth. You can even buy it as a metallic finish in either silver or gold!

This Chinese lantern print would also look great on tableware. I'm loving the round tablecloth but there are also square and rectangular options.

If a tablecloth is not your thing, these placemats are a nice option. They are made from a cotton linen canvas and come in a set of two.

For pre-dinner drinks, these cute cocktail napkins are perfect. They are also made from a cotton linen canvas and come in a set of four.

Bright blooms

I recently added another colourway to my stylised floral print which is available in my Spoonflower shop on a variety of fabric choices and ready-made items for the home.

The print is already available in quite a few colour. palettes in my Spoonflower shop, but this palette comes in rich pinks and oranges on a deep brown background. It's the perfect print for making a bold statement in the dining room and comes in a pleasing selection of ready-made tableware items.

I'm loving the floral tablecloth option, which has a good choice of shapes and sizes from rectangles and squares to oval and round.

For something slightly less dramatic, it makes a great floral table runner for the centre of the dining table. A floral arrangement or glassware and candlesticks could be matched to this bold print.

For pre-dinner drinks, use these gorgeous floral cocktail napkins and match your cocktails to the bold colour palette in the print.

And for the main event, these good quality cotton sateen floral napkins finish the table decor perfectly.

Another option is these cotton floral placemats. Match the crockery and silverware to the bold floral pattern for some extra drama.

Art Deco geometrics

The latest Spoonflower design challenge is called 'Neutral Geometric Wallpaper' so I decided to create this tonal linear triangle design. It is inspired by the designs of the Art Deco period and I decided to use a colour palette of soft pinks and blush.

This print would look great on a feature wall in a living room, or as a statement in a bathroom.

The teal and turquoise palette is lovely and fresh.

It looks great as a scatter cushion which can be bought ready-made in my Spoonflower shop.

The yellow colour palette is bright and summery.

It works well as cocktail napkins, perfect for a late summer drinks party.

The grey version is soft and sophisticated.

It's perfect for using as napkins at a dinner party.

Feeling fruity

I'm feeling fruity today! Celebrating this warmer weather with some happy fruit designs. These prints were each hand-drawn on the computer and include watermelons, apples, pears and pineapples in a selection of fresh colours. All can all be found in my Spoonflower shop where they can be bought on a variety of fabrics by the yard, or you can buy them as ready-made items.

Who can resist these happy smiling fruit?! Some are wearing sunglasses too!

These happy fruits look great as napkins for a summer garden party.

Jaunty smiling apples and pears donning polka dot bow ties.

This cute cushion would be a great addition to a girl's bedroom.

I love the fresh turquoise background of this mini fruit print.

Fruity tableware is a fun way to brighten the kitchen table or to use at a summer garden party.

A line-up of cool pineapples wear heart-shaped sunglasses.

Pineapples are the perfect print for a summer cocktail napkin. Pair it with a pina colada or two.
