Summer fruit

I'm dreaming of summer with these juicy strawberry prints, which remind me of long picnics in the sun. The strawberries look good enough to eat! They come in a repeat pattern and can be bought in my Spoonflower shop by-the-metre. It would be great for making into tote bags or for making into little girls' summer dresses. You can buy it by-the-metre in my Spoonflower shop here.

You can also buy many ready-made items in my Spoonflower shop. It looks great as a ready-made cushion cover, available in a variety of sizes.

This strawberry print also comes on a white background.

You can buy it as a tablecloth, in varying sizes. Makes a great addition to a summer garden party!

Feeling foxy?

This cute zipper pouch is one of my bestsellers. It's made from a fox print I designed for my Spoonflower shop and I've used it to make items to sell in my Etsy shop.

This zipper pouch is nice and roomy and is perfect for using as a travel bag or handbag organiser. It's a great place to store smaller items in your handbag without them getting lost.

The zipper pouch is lined in a blue cotton fabric, is lightly padded and has a zipper closure to keep everything safe. It's also machine washable so if you have any spillages, it's easy to clean.

There are several foxes in this print and they are mixed with a selection of foliage on a teal background.

This pouch could also be used as a makeup bag or toiletries bag.

It makes a great gift for a fox lover!

London tea towel

A while ago I designed this patchwork London print for my Spoonflower shop. I love the simplicity of the design motifs and the happy colour palette.

I love seeing my designs printed out and I decided to print this design on a lovely thick linen cotton canvas fabric from my Spoonflower shop, which you can now find in my Etsy shop as a fabulous London tea towel

The linen cotton canvas is perfect for making tea towels with. It's thick and durable and has a nice texture.

This tea towel would make a great gift for a London lover. It could also be a housewarming gift or a gift for a budding chef.

It has been hemmed with a top stitch and there is a Cheeky Leopard label sewn into the back.

Chicken print

I recently created this chicken print for my Spoonflower shop. I used a folk-style look and a bright, happy colour palette.

Design motifs include hearts, spots and stylised flowers.

This print would look great as a kitchen table cloth which can be found in a variety of shapes and sizes in my Spoonflower shop. I'm loving this circular table cloth.

It would also look good as a wallpaper in the kitchen. This version is peel and stick wallpaper so there's no need for paste.

Spring florals

Spoonflower teamed up with East Fork pottery company for last week's design challenge where the task was to use the new colour glazes from East Fork's collection, called Piglet and Butter. I chose to create this spring floral and tried it in both colour palettes but can't choose which one I like the best!

The pink floral version looks great as a wallpaper.

This loosely drawn floral looks nice and fresh as a white silhouette on the soft colour backgrounds.

The yellow floral version would look great on an Easter tableware.

Spoonflower design challenge

Last week I joined the Spoonflower design challenge which was 'Hidden Whimsy Wallpaper'. My entry was this turquoise damask. From a distance it looks like a traditional damask print but look closer and you will see that it's made up of lots of little folk birds!

I coloured this damask print in the same colour palette that I used for the peacock print as I think they would make greta complimentary designs in the home.

It also matches this peacock scallop design.

This moodboard shows how all the designs could work together and I've included images of deep turquoise painted walls that add drama to the home as well as complimentary colour chips in navy and chartreuse which I see working as accents in accessories in velvet and boucle fabrics.

Check out my Spoonflower shop for more designs.

Love hearts

Last week's Spoonflower design completion was 'Funny Valentine' so I decided to create this fun love heart print. Can't wait to get it printed up and to make some cute little purses out of it.

Sweet treats

The latest Spoonflower design challenge is called 'Delicious Ditsy' and I couldn't resist creating this sweet treats print for it. I'm a cake-lover and these tasty morsels, with their pink icing na cherry on top are irresistible. A ditsy pattern usually has two characteristics - tiny and with a multi directional layout, which makes the very easy to use on a wide variety of craft projects. This print would be great for using for an afternoon tea table cloth or napkins, or for making into an apron for the baker in your life.

Scottie dog straw pouch

New product alert!!! I've just started creating straw pouches for my Etsy shop. These are cotton, washable zipper pouches which can be used to store reusable straws in. Most reusable straws are made from metal, plastic, silicone or glass and the new pouches can fit at least four reusable straws in them. They are fully lined and come in a fabulous selection of prints.

This straw pouch comes in a cute little scottie dog print that I originally designed for my Spoonflower shop.

The straw pouch has a cream zipper closure.

It's lined with a cream cotton criss cross lining and is washable.

This straw pouch would make a great gift for a dog lover.

Autumn colours

I love this time of year, the leaves are changing colour and there is a nip in the air. I was inspired to create this autumnal leaf design inspired by woodblock prints.

You can buy this print on a variety of fabrics in my Spoonflower shop or as ready-made items. It looks great on this square throw pillow cover.

Or as a lovely textured autumn leaves wallpaper.

Use it as a an autumn leaves table cloth for autumn gatherings or Thanksgiving celebrations. This one is circular but you can also buy it as a rectangle.

Alternatively you can buy it as a set of four autumn leaves place mats.

Gifts for gardeners

Looking for the perfect gift for the gardener in your ilife?! Look no further. This gardening zipper pouch is the perfect gift. It can be used for storing gardening utensils such as secteurs and twine, or for using as a seed packet pouch.

This pouch has many uses and could also be used as a gadget pouch or makeup bag.

It's lightly padded and has a zipper closure. Check out the fab lining - a vibrant green grass fabric!

You can also buy this gardening print by-the-metre on a variety of fabrics and wallpapers in my Spoonflower shop or on a variety of ready-made items.

One of my favourite ready-made items is this square throw pillow which would look great in an allotment shed.

I also love the cosy minky throw, perfect for keeping warm on after a day of working on the garden.

Joyful Jungle

A recent Spoonflower design challenge was called Joyful Jungle and I submitted this rather fabulous leafy print. The black background adds to the drama and it's got a marvellous moody feel to it.

This print would look great as a wallpaper print where you can truly immerse yourself in a tropical wonderland. It looks great with this green velvet sofa.

This print would also look great as a lampshade. I love the copper lining which adds warmth and drama.

And I recently drew this illustration for a drawing challenge with The Tuesday Collective on Instagram. I love this print used as a skirt design and it coordinates so well with the leather jacket.
