Chicken print

 I recently created this chicken print for my Spoonflower shop. I used a folk-style look and a bright, happy colour palette.

Design motifs include hearts, spots and stylised flowers.

This print would look great as a kitchen table cloth which can be found in a variety of shapes and sizes in my Spoonflower shop. I'm loving this circular table cloth.

It would also look good as a wallpaper in the kitchen. This version is peel and stick wallpaper so there's no need for paste.

Cheeky chicken cosmetic bag

 We love chickens and we love this happy chicken print on a bright red background. It's a cosmetic bag made from a lovely soft cotton and is fully lined in a red and white cotton polka dot fabric with a matching red zipper closure.

White polka dot chickens are mixed with white eggs.

The bag is lightly padded to keep items safe.

Its the perfect size for using as a travel bag or handbag organiser. Keep all your small items such as phone and sunglasses safe when travelling.

This pouch is also great as a pencil case and big enough to store pens and pencils as well as a handy notebook.

Which came first?

A while ago I designed a group of fabric prints for Makower UK, called Chicken and Egg. 

My mum has just given me a lovely present, made from some of that fabric. It uses the blue chicken design and is beautifully edged with some of the striped fabric from the same group. It's designed to be used to line a bread basket, which is exactly what we will be doing with it tonight. It will be keeping the pitta bread warm that will accompany our Middle Eastern-inspired meal. Thanks mum!

A little claim to fame

Sorry, I had to brag a little bit! I went into Liberty on Saturday and saw some of the fabrics there that I designed, including this chicken and egg group which was rather fitting for the Easter period!

I also the saw the Great British Sewing Bee book and they have my stripe fabric on the front. I was rather chuffed! The fabric was shown in the opening credits of the show and is also on their Facebook page!
