Dog lover

 I love seeing my designs printed onto fabric. I designed this collection of doggy prints, called Furry Friends, for Makower UK a while ago and love its bright colour palette and cute dog breeds. I've included a design that has a selection of doggy items as well as a multi colour paw print. I'm loving the sausage dog print where each dog has a party hat or balloon. A great gift for a sausage dog lover.

Sausage dog cosmetic bag

This sausage dog purse is the perfect gift for a dachshund-lover. It's made from a lovely thick canvas fabric and has a complimentary grey and white polka dot lining. The purse is lightly padded and great for using as a gadget pouch for storing devices and chargers, or for using as a cosmetic bag or travel bag.

Fabric for dog lovers

 On top of designing artwork for dog lovers, I have also designed a series of repeat prints which I sell  through my Spoonflower shop. These doggy prints can be printed on a variety of fabrics and bought by the yard or you can choose to have it it printed on a selection of items from cushions and duvet covers, to table cloths or even wallpaper. I enjoy designing a simple silhouette and using iconic dog breeds that work perfectly in a pared down colour palette.

Scottie dogs have such a distinctive profile and so far, I have designed this print in two colour palettes. One has multi colour dogs on a cream background and the other one has white scottie dogs on a grey background. Each one has a bright red collar.

The turquoise sausage dog design makes a unique gift for any dachshund lover, and works really well as a table runner and napkin set.

If you're feeling really brave, slap up some sausage dog wallpaper. Cover a room with it, or just use it on a statement wall to add selective drama.

The French Bulldog heads come on a variety of coloured grounds. My favourite is this soft pink background that works really well on this rectangular cushion cover and would be perfect as a throw pillow in a girl's bedroom.

The French Bulldog heads also come on a mustard yellow background and add a lovely flash of colour to the living room on this throw blanket.

Artwork for dog lovers

I sell a lot of different dog-related products in my store and sausage dogs and French Bulldogs seem to be very popular. So I thought I'd try my hand at doing some doggy artwork. For some reason these French-inspired dachshunds took my fancy. I love their jaunty berets and fetching attire and used a pleasing colour palette of blue, orange and mustard.

These dogs are printed onto a lovely thick watercolour paper and would look great framed in a natural wood frame. A great gift for any sausage dog lover.

French Bulldogs have such a distinctive face and I couldn't resist doing these cute dog heads in an Andy Warhol style. I used the same colour palette as the sausage dog print.

This artwork is also printed onto a thick watercolour paper and matches a French Bulldog fabric that I sell in my Spoonflower shop.

Menagerie

 Cheeky Leopard has amassed quite a collection of animal designs over the past few months. They include dogs, cats, zebras and giraffes and come in a variety of colour combinations. You can buy any of these designs by the yard at Spoonflower either on a fabric of your choice or as a wallpaper print.

Sizzling sausages

Sausage dogs are such an iconic image and a breed of dog that is loved around the world. There are so many fabulous dachshund items out there to satisfy any sausage dog-lover and their distinctive silhouette lends itself to all sorts of interesting items.

This sturdy Brakeburn backpack comes in a pleasing mustard yellow colour and has padded shoulder straps and a selection of zippered pockets to store essential items in.

This dachshund tie was designed in support of the San Francisco SPCA's sheltered dogs and features beige dachshunds with tiny red collars on a chocolate brown background.

For a touch of zing to your outfit without being too zingy, these sausage dog socks are perfect. I love the unexpected colour combination.

Brakeburn has also created some fab wellington boots to match their backpack. Something to brighten up a rain day!

Sausages!

It appears that sausage dogs come in all shapes and sizes at Cheeky Leopard! I love this cute sketched dachshund design and the yellow is such a happy colour. I've made it up into lots of fun items for my store including a coin purse, card case, glasses case and tissue holder. Each item has a contrasting black and white polka dot lining. You can find them in my store here.

The coin purse is great for small change or can be used to store headphones.

Use the card case for travel cards, business cards or credit cards.

The glasses case is big enough to fit a large pair of sunnies.

The tissue holder is nice and bright and easy to find in your handbag.

Pink sausages

I've been busy with the sausage dog fabric again! This time it's a pink dachshund fabric and I've rustled up a little sausage selection to choose from, which you can see below.

The cosmetic bag is a great size for storing makeup or gadgets

and has a fun pink and white spotty lining.

The coin purse is very cute and is big enough for small change or for storing headphones in.

The tissue holder comes filled with tissues and is a fun way to protect tissues in your bag.

Seeing double

We love sausage dog designs here at Cheeky Leopard and I was very excited recently to get a custom order for some sausage dog items. They were for a pop up shop called Scooter and Me, based in Australia, where their logo is an illustration of their sausage dog called Scooter. I managed to find some fab dachshund fabric in two colour ways, produced by Lewis and Irene and bought in a fabulous shop whilst on my trip to Cornwall called Truro Fabrics. 

At the weekend, I spent my time making up card cases, coin purses and cosmetic bags in the two different fabrics, and they are now winging their way to Aus where they will hopefully find a new home.

The cream colour way has a blue and white polka dot lining.

The blue colour way has a turquoise lining.

Individual items are designed to match each other. The coin purse and card case would fit perfectly inside the larger purse which could be used as a cosmetic bag, handbag organiser or as a gadget pouch.
