Sweet scottie dogs

This sweet scottie dog print is perfect for using as a scottie dog passport cover. The cover is lightly padded and has a red and white polka dot lining, with a pocket on each side to slot the passport into. 

Each scottie dog is white and has a red collar that matches the red of the lining.

Scottie dogs

 Scottie dogs are so lovely and make a great motif for a fabric design. I created this scottie dog fabric for my Spoonflower shop which you can buy by-the-metre here. I've also created a rather fabulous cosmetic bag with the fabric, which you can find in my Etsy store.

The scottie dog cosmetic bag makes a great gift for a dog lover. It's lightly padded and has a zipper closure.

Use it to store makeup in. It's machine washable and filly lined. Each scottie dog has a red collar and I used the same red colour for the polka dot lining.

It could also be used as a travel bag where you can keep all your valuables in one place.

Sausages!

It appears that sausage dogs come in all shapes and sizes at Cheeky Leopard! I love this cute sketched dachshund design and the yellow is such a happy colour. I've made it up into lots of fun items for my store including a coin purse, card case, glasses case and tissue holder. Each item has a contrasting black and white polka dot lining. You can find them in my store here.

The coin purse is great for small change or can be used to store headphones.

Use the card case for travel cards, business cards or credit cards.

The glasses case is big enough to fit a large pair of sunnies.

The tissue holder is nice and bright and easy to find in your handbag.

Pooch pouch

This is the perfect pouch for your pooch! It's made from a beige and white dog fabric and is perfect for storing doggy treats or poop bags. Alternatively it could be used as a gadget pouch, pencil case or even as a makeup bag! You can find it in my store here.

The inside uses a fabulous red and white paw print.

Still going!

The Boston Terrier fabric is still going strong! Each time an item is sold, I replenish my stocks and the most recent addition is this card case which has a fab new lining, made of a fabulous grey and black cotton dog bone fabric! You can find it in my store here.

Fabric Friday

Anyone who loves fabric, knows how therapeutic a fabric shopping trip can be and a few weeks ago I made a pilgrimage to Rolls & Rems in Lewisham to do just that. I often enter a fabric shop treating it like an Aladdin's cave. You never know what you're going to find and if you're even going to find anything suitable, but there's always something good to forage through. Rolls & Rems was no disappointment and I came out with four fab new fabrics to add to my stash!

I love these swallow silhouettes on a grey ground and am looking forward to giving it a nice bright lining to counteract the grey and to give it a flash of colour when the bag is opened.

Everyone loves a dog fabric and this one shows a variety of breeds in a white silhouette. I love the cream linen fabric it's printed onto and it will perfect for making sturdy tote bags.

I love a bold geo and this one comes in a vibrant orange and navy combination. It makes quite a statement!

I love the hit of bright green in this unisex bike fabric and I'm thinking of using a green polka dot for the lining. This fabric would make great gadget pouches to store puncture kit etc.

A new family member

 The Boston Terrier fabric has been very popular here at Cheeky Leopard and I sadly ran out of a lot of it around christmas time. Luckily I recently acquired some more fabulous fabric, mentioned on my blog here. This time it has sweet Boston Terriers in a simple black outline on a natural ground. The colourway is a bit more subtle than the mustard yellow version and it has a black and white polka dot lining for a fun contrast inside.

So far I have made a cosmetic bag and a tissue holder, which make a great gift set.

Fabric Friday

Christmas is nearly here and Cheeky Leopard has shut up shop until 27th December, but I'm still playing with fabrics! This week's offering is a lovely little bunch of novelty cottons, ranging from cute penguins, to fun pineapples. I'm planning on making them up into tissue holders, card cases, cosmetic bags and coin purses and they should be available in store very soon.

Penguins have always been a popular fabric for my Cheeky Leopard items and this one is a great little addition. There's a black and white spotty fabric that will be the perfect complimentary lining.

I love this bicycle fabric and the black and grey colourway means that it's a great unisex design.

Pineapples are a fun motif and still a very popular image. These ones are so sweet and make me feel like summer is just around the corner.

Dog fabrics have done very well for me and these poodles are a slight change in style. I love their purple colouring and think a pink and white candy stripe will make a great lining for them.

The Bostons are back

The Boston terriers are back by popular demand! But not for long I'm afraid as stocks are running out fast. This lovely little black and white fella on a blue ground has proven to be a very popular item. He's been made up into coin purses, card cases, cosmetic bags and tissue holders and they have all sold out. I'm replenishing my stocks, but the fabric is almost used up and all that I now have in store are these two cute items that would make perfect stocking stuffers or Secret Santa gifts.

Pink sausages

I've been busy with the sausage dog fabric again! This time it's a pink dachshund fabric and I've rustled up a little sausage selection to choose from, which you can see below.

The cosmetic bag is a great size for storing makeup or gadgets

Seeing double

We love sausage dog designs here at Cheeky Leopard and I was very excited recently to get a custom order for some sausage dog items. They were for a pop up shop called Scooter and Me, based in Australia, where their logo is an illustration of their sausage dog called Scooter. I managed to find some fab dachshund fabric in two colour ways, produced by Lewis and Irene and bought in a fabulous shop whilst on my trip to Cornwall called Truro Fabrics. 

At the weekend, I spent my time making up card cases, coin purses and cosmetic bags in the two different fabrics, and they are now winging their way to Aus where they will hopefully find a new home.

The cream colour way has a blue and white polka dot lining.

The blue colour way has a turquoise lining.

Individual items are designed to match each other. The coin purse and card case would fit perfectly inside the larger purse which could be used as a cosmetic bag, handbag organiser or as a gadget pouch.

Doggy duo

Recently I mentioned some rather fabulous doggy fabric I bought in Chichester. It was a Boston Terrier/French Bulldog fabric (depending on which side of the Atlantic you live!) and I've been busy over the past few weeks making up some gorgeous little items.
These two have just been added to my store.

The glasses case is softly padded and big enough to fit a large pair of sunglasses.

The coin purse is so cute and is big enough for small change or can be used as a headphone case.

Who could resist this cute little fella?!

Darling dachshunds

At the weekend I had a bit of a sort out of my fabric stash and rediscovered this fab dachshund fabric. I got a bit busy and ended up with a tote, iPad sleeve and glasses case combo!
