On top of designing artwork for dog lovers, I have also designed a series of repeat prints which I sell through my Spoonflower shop. These doggy prints can be printed on a variety of fabrics and bought by the yard or you can choose to have it it printed on a selection of items from cushions and duvet covers, to table cloths or even wallpaper. I enjoy designing a simple silhouette and using iconic dog breeds that work perfectly in a pared down colour palette.

Fabric for dog lovers
Scottie dogs have such a distinctive profile and so far, I have designed this print in two colour palettes. One has multi colour dogs on a cream background and the other one has white scottie dogs on a grey background. Each one has a bright red collar.
The turquoise sausage dog design makes a unique gift for any dachshund lover, and works really well as a table runner and napkin set.
If you're feeling really brave, slap up some sausage dog wallpaper. Cover a room with it, or just use it on a statement wall to add selective drama.
The French Bulldog heads come on a variety of coloured grounds. My favourite is this soft pink background that works really well on this rectangular cushion cover and would be perfect as a throw pillow in a girl's bedroom.
The French Bulldog heads also come on a mustard yellow background and add a lovely flash of colour to the living room on this throw blanket.
If you're feeling creative, buy fabric by the yard and get sewing with your own creations.
Co-ordinate a scottie dog cushion with these fab scottie dog curtains.
I've chosen a few colour palettes to work with but am very happy to create bespoke colour palettes too. Message me if you would like me to create something for you.

Artwork for dog lovers
I sell a lot of different dog-related products in my store and sausage dogs and French Bulldogs seem to be very popular. So I thought I'd try my hand at doing some doggy artwork. For some reason these French-inspired dachshunds took my fancy. I love their jaunty berets and fetching attire and used a pleasing colour palette of blue, orange and mustard.
These dogs are printed onto a lovely thick watercolour paper and would look great framed in a natural wood frame. A great gift for any sausage dog lover.
French Bulldogs have such a distinctive face and I couldn't resist doing these cute dog heads in an Andy Warhol style. I used the same colour palette as the sausage dog print.

This artwork is also printed onto a thick watercolour paper and matches a French Bulldog fabric that I sell in my Spoonflower shop.
If there is a certain dog breed that you would like me to design, please let me know. I'm always interested in trying out new images and styles.

Menagerie
Cheeky Leopard has amassed quite a collection of animal designs over the past few months. They include dogs, cats, zebras and giraffes and come in a variety of colour combinations. You can buy any of these designs by the yard at Spoonflower either on a fabric of your choice or as a wallpaper print.

New notebooks
I recently decided to add some new items to my store, these gorgeous little notebooks! I designed them myself and I decided to use images that have been popular in my store. The items that sell the best are the Boston Terrier fabrics and cat designs, so I decided to use those and create some sweet book covers. It was a lot of fun designing them.
Both the notepads are A5 in size and they are made from recycled card on the outside with a staple at the spine to hold the pages together. There are 48 lined pages so that you can jot down your ideas and thoughts. These books could be used as a journal, a diary or something to keep lists in!
The Boston Terrier design is on a yellow ground and has tonal tossed hearts surrounding the dogs' heads. This makes a great match with the Boston Terrier coin purse.
Look closer at the cat design and you will see that some of them are wearing pink glasses or bow ties. The design is on a pale grey ground and would make a great match with the cat cosmetic bag.
Look inside the front cover of each notebook and you will find a space to personalise your book.

Still going!
The Boston Terrier fabric is still going strong! Each time an item is sold, I replenish my stocks and the most recent addition is this card case which has a fab new lining, made of a fabulous grey and black cotton dog bone fabric! You can find it in my store here.

A new family member
The Boston Terrier fabric has been very popular here at Cheeky Leopard and I sadly ran out of a lot of it around christmas time. Luckily I recently acquired some more fabulous fabric, mentioned on my blog here. This time it has sweet Boston Terriers in a simple black outline on a natural ground. The colourway is a bit more subtle than the mustard yellow version and it has a black and white polka dot lining for a fun contrast inside.
So far I have made a cosmetic bag and a tissue holder, which make a great gift set.
Both items have a black and white polka dot lining.
You can find the cosmetic bag and tissue holder in my store here.

Back in action
After a lovely christmas break, spent with family and friends, Cheeky Leopard is now back in business! I'm celebrating with these lovely doggy fabrics I received over the christmas period. Each one has a lovely Boston Terrier/French Bulldog motif on it, which has been a popular theme recently. Watch out for some new items in store soon!
I love the black outline on a natural ground.
It will be, co-ordinated with a black and white polka dot lining.
The mustard ground was a popular colour and I was glad to be able to find some more of it.
Who can resist that sweet little doleful face?!
I still have a few Boston Terrier items in my store and you can find them here.

The Bostons are back
The Boston terriers are back by popular demand! But not for long I'm afraid as stocks are running out fast. This lovely little black and white fella on a blue ground has proven to be a very popular item. He's been made up into coin purses, card cases, cosmetic bags and tissue holders and they have all sold out. I'm replenishing my stocks, but the fabric is almost used up and all that I now have in store are these two cute items that would make perfect stocking stuffers or Secret Santa gifts.
Both items have a fun red and white polka dot lining that matches the red of the dog's collar.
The coin purse is great for storing small change or for using as a headphone case, and the card case could be used for storing credit cards or business cards.
If you are still looking for Boston terrier items, not to worry, I still have stocks of the Boston terrier in the mustard yellow and cream version. You can see all items here.

The bulldogs are back!
The French Bulldogs (or Boston Terriers if you're in the States) are back in full force!
It's been a popular item and I've been busy replenishing my stock by making a cosmetic bag, coin purse, card case, tissue holder and glasses case in this fabulous fabric. It comes in a heavyweight cotton with a fab mustard yellow and cream polka dot background, with outline images of the bulldogs in several poses.
The cosmetic bag has a large black and white polka dot lining and is a great size for storing makeup or gadgets. It could also be used as a handbag organiser or pencil case.
The card case also has the large black and white polka dot lining and
could be used for storing credit cards, business cards or travel cards.
The coin purse is so cute! Who could resist those puppy dog eyes?
The tissue holder is a fun way to store tissues in your bag and
the bright colour makes it easier to find.
The glasses case is softly padded and ideal for storing large sunglasses in.
You can find them all in my store here.

Doggy duo
Recently I mentioned some rather fabulous doggy fabric I bought in Chichester. It was a Boston Terrier/French Bulldog fabric (depending on which side of the Atlantic you live!) and I've been busy over the past few weeks making up some gorgeous little items.
These two have just been added to my store.
These two have just been added to my store.
The glasses case is softly padded and big enough to fit a large pair of sunglasses.
The coin purse is so cute and is big enough for small change or can be used as a headphone case.
Who could resist this cute little fella?!
I will be adding more items to my store soon.
Keep an eye out for a matching doggy cosmetic bag and card case.

Fabric Friday
Wherever I go, I seem to sniff out the local fabric shops! I'm currently on my way down to the south coast for a fab long weekend away with my lovely family. I decided to stop off in Chichester and came across a fabric shop selling many of the fabrics I designed for Makower UK. Amongst the mix was this fab French Bulldog/Boston Terrier fabric and I couldn't resist buying a piece.

Shopping in Brive
I am now safely back in the UK after a fab holiday in France and have been looking through my photos at all the fun times we had. The weather was beautiful most of the time we were there, but on Thursday it rained, so us girls decided to go on a shopping trip to Brive.
On our meanderings we came across a fab shop called Le 805 which sells a great selection of mid-century modern-inspired items and quirky pieces for the home.
I was taken by the woven French Bulldog cushions, which reminded me of the French bulldog fabric I use for my Cheeky Leopard cosmetic bag and card case. I love the orange of the cushion above mixed with the turquoise blue sofa.
All items were artfully displayed.
I loved the ceramics set below, designed in soft blues and turquoise.
We also popped into a shop called Cultura on the outskirts of Brive. We went there mostly to stock up on stationery items for my niece's new school, but I couldn't resist coming away with a few items.
I bought two lovely complimentary fabrics. The peachy tonal fabric will be the perfect lining to the turquoise blue and peach floral fabric. Watch this space for a cosmetic bag, coin purse etc in this fabric which will be in my store soon.
I also picked up some pretty ribbons. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them yet, but I'm sure I will figure something out....
