Year of the tiger

2022 is the Year of the Tiger and also the theme for this week’s Spoonflower design challenge. I decided to create these cute tigers, frolicking amongst tropical foliage in a palette of cream, pink and grey. This would be the perfect addition to a nursery and could be used as wallpaper, curtains or soft furnishing. It makes a lovely match with my star print which comes in a pink or blue option.

Quirky amphibians

I recently designed this fun amphibians print for my Spoonflower shop. Frogs and toads sit alongside newts and salamanders in a fun colour palette of orange, green, teal and grey.

This print would make a great cushion cover for a kid's playroom.

Are you brave enough to have it on your bedding?! If so, this sheet set is perfect.

Nursery decor

There are so many inspiring ways to decorate a nursery, from the traditional pink or blue colour palette to stronger earthy colours or simply creams and beiges.

I love the paint splatter wallpaper above that adds colour to the room in a fun way. Shades from the wallpaper have been used in accessories in the room such as the pink chair and the cute cloud cushion.

This mother and child giraffe print makes a great addition to a nursery. Use it to make a cot quilt or have it printed onto a soft minky blanket.

This soft coral coloured star print makes baby's room less sugary pink.

Go bold with the decor and paint a massive rainbow on the wall. The hand painted feel, with brush marks and paint drips, adds to its appeal.

Elephants are always popular and this cream elephant print looks great as curtains or as a cushion cover.

Mix and match elephants on a variety of ground colours. This elephant print is on a dusty blue background and would look great as a throw.

Pale cream and white nursery decor makes a great backdrop for artwork and makes the artwork sing. I love the unconventional colours of the elephant picture above the sofa which is sweet but modern.

Giraffes come in all colours with this cute giraffe print. Some are even prancing!

Stars and flowers are great co-ordinates to a baby's room. The blue stars print would look great on a duvet cover and the cream flowers print would make a pretty throw cushion.

Elephant wall art

I love an elephant design and so I decided to create these cute prints for my Etsy store. Each one is printed onto a lovely thick watercolour paper, gift wrapped in pink tissue paper and sent in a hard-backed envelope. You can also add an optional gift message and have it sent directly to its recipient if you wish. These prints would make a great print for a baby's bedroom wall.

Cute, decorated elephants in shades of pink, yellow and blue march in single file. Some are carrying parasols, some are carrying heart-shaped balloons.

One cute pink elephant with a bird sitting on his back. An array of florals spurt out of his trunk.

These prints would look great as a pair, side by side in a nursery.

You can also buy matching fabrics in my Spoonflower shop.

Elephants everywhere

I had a lot of fun designing this collection of elephant prints for my Spoonflower shop! Each print has been coloured to co-ordinate with each other and they come in a selection of background colours and scales.

Decorated elephants each hold an item or are wearing an accessory - party hats balloons, a parasol and some even have a little crown on their head.

These elephants are smaller scale and each has a different coloured polka dot ear.

Cute florals in a pared-down colour palette tie in colour-wise with the elephant designs.

A dark slate blue background brings out the colours of these elephants.

Yellow is a happy colour and great for a gender-neutral baby's room.

This pretty floral could be used for baby's nursery or would make a great little summer dress.

A bold pink ground brings drama to a colour scheme.

This slate blue ground adds drama to a sweet floral print.

Decorated pink elephants spew an array of flowers from their trunks. These same flowers are used in the allover floral print above.
