Say cheese!

Mel Stringer is an illustrator and visual artist from Brisbane, Australia who has created these beautiful little paper camera projects. Once purchased, each camera is sent to you in an email as a pdf format which you can then print out at home and assemble yourself. The Polaroid camera even comes with a set of three hand drawn Polaroid 'pictures' for you to play with! Very cute.

Amanda Catherine Designs

I always love a nod to retro design and these lovely prints caught my eye recently. They are designed by Chicago local, Amanda Catherine and use iconic retro images with wonderfully fresh new colours. I love the simple images as well as the inspirational quotes that she uses.

Several times I have mentioned my love of vintage camera prints on my blog, and my most recent finds are by Rachel, a college student in Southend-on-sea who goes by the name of Candidate on Etsy.  I love the quirky, hand drawn feel of the images against a simple blue ground.

Praising the Polaroid

Today I came across the work of Amy Blackwell on Etsy and wanted to share some of it with you. She's a Nottingham based illustrator who is a self-confessed doodler and has just started dabbling into knitwear as well. My favourite pieces on her Etsy store are these Polaroid illustrations which praise the beauty of the classic Polaroid picture. You can see more of her lovely work here.
