Adventures in Japan

The latest Spoonflower design challenge is called Adventure Ditzy Prints and I decided to create a print based on my adventures in Japan. I've included all the things I love about the city including sushi, torri gates and blossom. Which is your favourite?! You can vote for my design here.

You can buy this Japanese fabric by-the-metre in my Spoonflower shop or as ready-made items.

You can also find this print in my Etsy shop on this cute cosmetic bag and matching tissue holder combo.

There's also the option to buy this design as a cute Japanese artwork for the home. It's printed onto a thick watercolour paper and comes gift wrapped - the perfect gift for a Japanophile.

Sumptuous sushi

I love sushi and so I decided to create this sushi print for my Spoonflower shop. I've included all my favourites, including one that's not such a favourite. Can you guess which one?!

I've included chopsticks and soy sauce, and a selection of nigiri (where the fish sits on top of the rice) and maki (where the fish and rice is made into a roll). The yellow one is tamago (egg) nigiri where a slice of traditional Japanese omelette sits on top of the rice, held together with a seaweed 'belt'.

I love the sushi cocktail napkins - perfect for a pre-sushi dinner drink.

I'm also rather loving the sushi table runner, perfect for decorating the table of a Japanese feast.

Geta life

I fell in love with this geta (Japanese flip flops) fabric as soon as I saw it and new I had to have it. It has now been lovingly made into a cute little pouch to store all your precious items. I also found a rather lovely rice bowl and chopsticks fabric and thought the two would make a nice pairing.

You can find them on my Etsy here.
