This is the time to celebrate the Day of the Dead, where deceased lover ones are celebrated with joy and festivities. Celebrated mostly in Mexico, it is a time where families create shrines or altars which include photos of the dead as well as offerings such as sugar skulls. These skulls tend to be highly decorated and I used this as inspiration for this design.
Each skull is highly decorated and uses a bright colour palette. The print is available in my Spoonglofr by-the-metre on a wide variety of fabrics, but it can also be bought on ready-made items such as tableware. This collection of tableware is perfect for using in a family lunch gathering or at a Day of the Dead party.
The skull napkins come in two sizes (dinner napkins or cocktail napkins) and are made from a cotton sateen fabric or a linen cotton canvas.
The skull placemats are sold as a set of two and are made from either cotton sateen, linen cotton canvas or Cypress cotton canvas. They make a great statement at the dinner table.
The skull tablecloths come in three shapes (square, rectangle and oval) and also come in a variety of sizes too.
The skull table runner is a great way of creating drama in the centre of the table.
