New York - Day Five

We started the day by walking up to Union Square and then on to ABC Home for some retail therapy - just looking! As a textile designer I love to look at and feel the scrumptious selection of textiles.

We then carried on to 34th st to have a quick wander through Macy’s before I met up with my dear friend Matisela for lunch. It was great to catch up on a few years news. We then had a quick dip into B&J Fabric - a haven for any fabric lover.

After that, we headed up to The Rockefeller Center and St Patrick’s Cathedral, via the American Girl store. My niece had put in a request! It was quite an eye opener, with dolls in all shapes, sizes and colours and with an outfit to match any occasion. They even had a beauty bar where dolls could get their hair done while their child owners had theirs done at the same time!

For our evening meal, we headed down to Nolita, one of my favourite areas of Manhattan, for a Mexican meal at Tacombi. We loved the interior, and the food and margaritas were scrumptious!
