Apparently today is known as Blue Monday - it's the third Monday of the month and is claimed to be the most depressing day of the year! I've decided to observe this day in a happy way by adding three new happy items to my store, all made out of blue fabrics.
The fabrics were all designed by me for Makower UK and use the theme of woodland foliage and woodland animals. It's been designed in soft tones of blue and white with a hint of teal with the idea that all fabrics can be used with each other.
The coin purse comes in a dark blue and has a hedgehog on one side and a rabbit on the other side. This coin purse can be used for storing small change but is also perfect for storing earphones in.
The hedgehog and rabbit are surrounded by little mushrooms and some of the mushrooms have been coloured in a soft teal colour.
The lining of the purse uses a teal and white floral fabric that matches the teal of the mushrooms on the outside of the purse.
I love the soft blue of this glasses case/phone case and I designed the deer with a floral motif on its body to break up the design a bit. Each fabric has a linen-effect background to give it some texture.
The glasses case makes a great gift for someone special and the lightweight, flat design makes it easy to mail in the post. These cases are versatile as they can also be used as phone cases. The phone in the photo is an iPhone 6s.
Last but not least is this pretty tree print glasses case. The trees have texture to them and come in soft blues and teal colours. I used the teal and white floral fabric for the lining of this case as it matches the teal of the trees on the outside.
