Whale it's about time!

It's taken me a while to rustle up some items in this fab whale fabric I bought a while ago, but I'm so pleased with the result! It's a great little image and I love the way that the whales are regimented in rows. Can you see the odd one that has water spurting out of its blowhole?!

You can find it in my store here.

The lining is made from a matching spotty navy blue and white cotton.

This cute little pouch could be used as a cosmetic bag, handbag organiser of phone charger pouch.

Fabric Friday

It's Fabric Friday time and this week I'd like to mention some fabrics that I bought at a lovely fabric shop in Wallingford called Village Fabrics.

I design fabrics for a company called Makower UK and it was great to see some of my designs on sale there, as well as to see what other fabrics are on sale. For some reason I was in a bit of a whale mood and homed in on some rather lovely whaley fabrics as well as a snail fabric.
Can't wait to get sewing.....

The whales above are a lovely simple modern design. I'm going to give them a spotty lining.

These whales are fun! I'm going to use the red and white polka dot fabric as a contrasting lining.

I couldn't resist the snail fabric. I love the fact that at first glance you can't tell that they are snails....

Whale it's about time!

I mentioned on my blog a while ago about the fabulous whale fabric I bought recently and have slowly started making it up into some fun items to add to my store. So far I have made a cosmetic bag and tissue holder which you can see below and I think they make quite a nice little pair!

The cosmetic bag is big enough for makeup items.
It could also be used as a handbag organiser or gadget case.

Both items have the red and white polka dot lining to give it a fresh nautical feel.

The tissue case fits easily into the cometic bag, for instant access when the sniffles kick in....
