Reincarnation

I have this iPad case in my store and it's made from a stunning scallop design vintage Japanese obi fabric in vibrant shades of orange, silver and gold against a black ground.

The lining is made from a terracotta cotton and the case is held closed with a vintage black and gold button and orange suede tie.

I only recently realised that if the case is folded in half, it can be reincarnated into a pretty little clutch bag! It's just big enough for the essentials for a night out and tucks snugly under the arm.

I'm now looking forward to making more of these beauties and already have a stunning emerald green and gold obi in mind. Watch this space....

Indian Summer

Why not add a touch of Indian summer to your wardrobe with these stunning Indian sari clutches?! I bought the fabrics in India a while ago when we went to a friend's wedding, but the bags have only recently been created by me.

I have finally added them to my store and am so happy with them! Each one has a suitably bright lining and a detachable chain handle. I have also made a card case to match each clutch. I often find that I don't need to take my rather large wallet when I go out, so I 'decant' the essentials, such as credit card and cash, to my card case and just take that instead. It doesn't fill my clutch too much, allowing for more essential items such as makeup and phone. I've even managed to squeeze a pair of ballet pumps into one of my clutch bags before!

You can find all items in my store here.

Fabric Friday

It's beginning to feel a lot like christmas! Check out this Friday's fabric choice, a stunning red, green and gold Japanese obi fabric. I bought it at an antique market in Tokyo recently and couldn't resist its rich colour scheme. Can you see the hidden bird?! I've used some of the fabric to make a clutch bag, but have enough fabric for a few more.

You can find the clutch bag in my store here.

Juicy juicy!

I've just added this rather stunning collection of clutch bags to my Etsy store. All the clutches are hand made by me and the fabrics used to make them were bought on my recent trip to Tokyo. They would make a fab christmas present for someone special, or a lovely little gift to yourself!

You can find them on my store here.

A diamond in the rough

DVF's latest collection has some beautiful items and I love the floatiness of her black and white jumpsuit. I think it would make the perfect match with my obi fabric clutch bag. The diamond of the jumpsuit print ties in with the diamond of the clutch. Some red shoes to finish off the look perhaps?!

This is the last clutch to be added to my collection before I do the wedding fair tomorrow.
Wish me luck!

Add some bling to your outfit!

I was a busy bee whilst in the UK and in between working and buying our new house, I got sewing! I must have been in a bling mood as most of the creations were pretty vibrant, with a good dose of silver and gold. I am slowly adding more to my store each day, and you can find more of them here.
