Tropical toile

I designed this print for my Spoonflower shop a while ago and it includes zebras, leopards and tropical foliage in a sketched botanical style. The original colour was designed in green but I could resist trying some other colour palettes and am loving the results! The hot pink is probably my favourite.

It looks fabulous on this cotton sateen sheet set, which comes with a flat sheet, a fitted sheet and two pillow cases.

The yellow ochre colour palette was a bit of a gamble but I'm liking the outcome. It's a bit more subtle than the pink version and easier to use in the home.

It looks great on this table runner which comes in three different lengths.

The green version was the original version and it's lovely and fresh.

It looks great on napkins and brings an element of fun sophistication to the dining table.

The orange version was a bit of fun and adds a zing of colour to the home.

Keep it as an accent colour and use it on cushion covers like this one.

The turquoise blue colour is so pretty and fresh and feels very summery. It would work well for a garden party and comes in a variety of tableware options.

I love these placemats that come in a choice of fabrics.

Totally tropical

I'm so pleased with this collection I designed for Makower UK recently. It's call Tropica and includes jungle animals as well as florals, butterflies and decorative prints in a juicy colour palette.

I started by creating the main print which is called 'Wildlife'. After deciding on the colour palette of pinks, purples, greens and blues, I then collated a host of images to create a crowded scenic design. Giraffes, zebras and leopards hide amongst fantastical foliage. This scenic is on a deep blue background.

I took elements from the main print to create this crowded foliage design. This version uses shades of pink and purple on a burgundy background.

I decided to use the butterflies from the main print as a cute pink tossed butterfly design. In the background is a dotty detail that adds texture to the ground.

Pretty mini floral.

This is the main wildlife print on a deep purple background.

A decorative botanical sarasa design on a pretty turquoise background.

The mini foliage design looks great on this navy background which brings out the vibrant colours of turquoise and pink in the foliage.

Butterflies on a green background.

This mosaic design is a great colour carrier and includes shades of blue, turquoise, green and pink.

Lovely leopard

With a name like Cheeky Leopard, you have to love a bit of leopard print and I'm loving this soft pink version that comes on a variety of products in my Etsy shop. I'm especially loving the glasses case and matching key fob wristlet combo.

The leopard print glasses case is lightly padded and lined in a soft pink cotton fabric. It's the perfect size for a pair of oversized sunglasses.

The leopard print key fob wristlet is made from a sturdy interfacing and has good quality silver hardware. It fits comfortably around the wrist and its bright colour makes it easy to find in your handbag.

This combo would make a great gift for any leopard lover.

Totally roarsome!

I recently mentioned the Jewel Tones collection I've been working on for Makower UK. In addition to some juicy allover designs, we also created a panel design which incorporates eight 10 inch squares depicting jungle animals. It was so much fun to design! I can see these squares being used as a rather fab quilt of being cut up and used as cushion covers or as bag designs.

Jewel Tones

I really enjoyed designing this collection for Makower UK. We decided to call it Jewel Tones as it is beautifully rich and opulent and the colours all work really well together. Needless to say, my favourite print is the leopard print!

Cheeky leopards are surrounded by delicate foliage coloured in a similar palette to the background.

Each leopard design has a matching leopard print in similar colours.

The leopard print makes a great co-ordinate to the leopard design.

I designed this sarasa print as a lovely decorative addition to the animal prints. It incorporates stylised leaves and flowers in vibrant colours.

Some of the leaves have been created using a dotty effect which softens them and adds interest and depth to the design.

Multi colour hummingbirds flutter on a cream background.

We also added a dark teal background as a rich background for the bright hummingbirds.

Cheeky leopard

Considering my name, it's surprising that I haven't used leopard print before, but this is the first time and I love the result! I love the funky colour combinations and have matched the linings to compliment the outer print.

You can find them here.
