Disco diva sewing projects

Calling all disco divas! I have some fabulous prints available in my Spoonflower shop, which are great for using in sewing projects. From roller skates to disco balls, I've got you covered!

This roller-skate print looks great on black and would make a great tote bag for carrying skates in.

There are a wide variety of fabrics to choose from and the Cypress cotton canvas fabric is great for making into tote bags as they are durable and hardwearing.

The disco balls design is a fun print for any disco event. This one has a black background and would look great on the performance velvet fabric.

If you're feeling really brave, why not cover an armchair in it? The velvet would work so well as an upholstery fabric and it would make a great statement in any disco kitchen.

The roller skate print also comes on a dark blue background and would look great on a pair of leggings at the roller disco. Pair it with a sequinned tube top and you're good to go!

The Sport Lycra fabric would be perfect for making into leggings. It has an advanced moisture-wicking finish and 4-way stretch.

The disco ball print also comes on a light blue background. If you want something a little more low-key, use it as an accessory for the home, such as scatter cushions or throw blankets.

The minky fabric is perfect for this kind of project as it's plush and warm for snuggly softness.

Disco Diva

I recently rediscovered my love of rollerskating and it's so much fun! It inspired me to create some prints for my Spoonflower shop. My initial idea came from my funky roller girl illustration. She's donning a fab pair of 70s silky shorts and has the most amazing afro.

I created an allover disco ball print which comes on a variety of background colours. One customer bought six yards of this fabric. I'd love to know what they made with it.

Thus print would look fabulous as disco ball cocktail napkins for a disco party...

....or just go the whole hog and get disco ball wallpaper for your disco pad!

I also designed a co-ordinating roller-skate print.

This print looks great as a roller skate pencil case and can be found in my Etsy store.

Use it to store your favourite stationery items or use it as a makeup bag or gadget pouch.
