Another mix and match

I have just added this tote bag to my Etsy store. It matches the clutch bag I made a while ago. I love the colour combination.

You can find it in my store here.

Liza's Little Things

Selling my items on Etsy means that I am often trawling through other shops to see what is out there. Needless to say, the temptation to buy is high! There are so many talented people creating wonderful, unique pieces.

One item I couldn't pass by, was a beautiful neon necklace by Liza's Little Things, a shop run by Liza Casulli who is based in Athens, Greece. I can't wait to wear this with a summer dress. Roll on summer!

You can check out Liza's lovely store here

Purple and gold

One of my recent fave Friday fabrics featured a stunning vintage 1960s coat in vibrant shades of purple and gold.

I have now made it up into a stunning clutch bag and you can find it on my Etsy shop here.

Karolin Schnoor

I recently came across the work of Karolin Schnoor on Etsy and thought I would share it on my blog. She is a German illustrator living and working in London, who hand screenprints all her pieces using water based inks on paper from a local supplier. I love her use of flat illustration mixed with pattern and texture and the wistful feel of each carefully-considered pose.

You can see more examples of her lovely work here.

Purple blossom

I recently added this rather juicy purple clutch to my Etsy store. The outside is made from a pretty printed blossom kimono fabric and the lining is a vibrant green fabric that I bought on a trip to Vietnam.

You can find it in my store here.

Sketch inc.

Every now and then I like to mention the work of a designer I admire. This time I would like to mention the work of Becky Kemp, an artist and crafter living in England. She is inspired by playful geometric design as well as expressive Japanese illustration and has created some beautiful paintings, posters, brooches and wooden figures which she sells through her Etsy store. I love her use of fresh colours, combined to produce beautifully simple, modern pieces.

You can check out her store here.

Wow!

I recently added this clutch bag to my Etsy store and what a stunner it is! I loved the green and white geometric obi fabric and decided to piece it together with a green woven obi. My favourite part is the flash of magenta pink lining when the bag is opened.

You can find it on my Etsy store here.

Juicy

I just added this juicy cutie to my Etsy store. It's one of my smaller clutch bags and is made from a vibrant obi fabric - silver maple leaves on an orange rust ground! I decided to give it a mustard yellow lining as a contrasting colour.

You can find it in my store here

Leather lovelies

Bristol-based design duo Tovicorrie create beautiful leather accessories in stunning designs. Each piece uses a vibrant colour palette and is intricately designed in eye-catching geometrics which are printed directly onto the leather. My favorite is the tribal tote bag.

You can find more of their stunning items here.

Sail away

I recently added these nautical-inspired lovelies to my Etsy store. I love the orangey-red of the sail boat fabric which gives it a more modern edge. The blue and white oversize polka dot fabric seemed the ideal match for a glasses case - a perfect little ensemble for a day out at sea!

You can find them in my store here.

A fresh start

There's nothing like a new year to get the creative juices flowing. I have just finished making some new items to add to my Etsy store and this is the first of a few new clutch bags. It is made from a vintage Japanese woven obi fabric in a beautiful emerald and gold decorative design. I decided to give it a mustard yellow lining as a bright contrast.

You can find it in my Etsy store here.

Take a seat

I started adding cotton glasses cases to my Etsy store a while ago and they have proven to be quite popular. They add a dash of colour to any handbag and are made from fun fabrics, with a light padding to protect your specs. The most recent addition has been this quirky chair print fabric in blue, grey and white. I love the modern, stylised design of the classic chair shapes and decided to give it a grey and white stripe lining as a smart contrast.

You can find it in my Etsy store here.

Time for tea

I picked up a gorgeous furoshiki a while ago - this is cloth that is used to wrap presents, bento boxes etc in Japan. It has a Japanese teapot print on it and I loved its simple style, with the odd red teapot here and there. I decided to make it into a coin purse and gave it a red and white polka dot lining to match the red teapot.

You can find it in my Etsy store here.
