A happy Monday to all on this rather confused English day! One minute the sun is shining and the next minute it's pouring down, like a tropical shower.
I hope a good weekend was had by all. Mine was another fab one, spent catching up with friends and family. On Saturday I headed over to to Forest Hill to catch up with my dear friend Faye. We've known each other since college, so it's been a loooong friendship.
After a few glasses of pink bubbly at her house, served up in beautiful vintage champagne glasses, we headed over to Lewisham to dip into the Model Market, a venue that is open every Friday and Saturday over the summer in a disused shopping centre.
There is a great selection of eateries to choose from as well as drinks. The sunset was amazing and there was some great music playing.
We started our gourmet feasting with the gorgeously crispy calamari at Ink, seasoned to perfection and served with an array of pastel coloured mayos to make your mouth water.
We then homed in on the Hot Box ribs, gorgeously sticky and smoked for 8 hours!
This was all washed down with a Dead Man's punch from the Rum Shack, whilst surveying the view below from the rooftop.
Thanks for a fab evening Faye, and my first foray into the nightlife of Lewisham!
