I had a busy weekend of sewing and glueing (as well as completing a 10km run at the Richmond Running Festival!) and here is one of my creations. The outside is made from a kimono fabric that has a stunning print of stylised chrysanthemums in an ombre style. Ombre is the word used to describe colour that fades from light to dark. In this case it fades from blue to yellow. I chose to use an ikat-style kimono fabric for the lining. It is a stunning yellow colour and picks out the colour of the outer kimono fabric.
