I recently curated a treasury on Etsy where I found kimono pieces that inspired me. One of them was this beautiful fascinator by Miyu Decay who creates stunning feathered headdresses, many of which are inspired by Russian kokoshnik headdresses. What I love about her pieces is that she combines influences from several different cultures. These two beautiful fascinators are made from vintage Japanese kimono fabrics, cut out and made into an applique. One is embellished with scalloped Turkish tribal coins the other uses a chain from the Kuchi tribe. Each has beautiful plumage to finish it off and make it into something truly special. You can find more of her work here.
