Yellow clutch bag

This rather fabulous satin clutch bag is made from the wild grasses print I created for my Spoonflower shop and once printed onto a satin fabric, it truly shines! The satin brings out the colour so well and I matched the acid green of the foliage with the lining and the tassel detailing.

Look up close and you can see butterflies and bees fluttering amongst the foliage.

The lining fabric is just as rich as the outer fabric and adds a nice contrast.

This evening purse is big enough to fit all the essentials for a night out and would make a great wedding clutch.

If you'd rather make your own creations from this print, head to my Spoonflower shop where you can buy this on a variety of colours on a selection of different fabrics.

Ta dah!

On Monday I mentioned some obi fabric that I was going to make up into a new tote bag, well here's the end result! A rather stunning bag made from a multi coloured vintage Japanese obi fabric. I think it makes quite a statement and would compliment any outfit - use it as a bag to go shopping, or to dress up an outfit for a night out. It's big enough to fit all the essentials and has a magnetic snap closure to keep the bag closed. This would also make a wonderfully unique gift item.
You can find it in my store here.

New addition

I made this rather lovely handbag a while ago but have only just got around to photographing it and listing it on my shop! I have to say, I love it and am tempted to keep it for myself.......

It's made from a stunning multi colour and metallic decorative vintage Japanese obi fabric.
The obi is the thick 'belt' that goes around the kimono and it is often heavily decorative and colourful. The one I used for this bag was found at an antique market in Tokyo and I felt that it needed a bright red lining for a flash of colour when the bag is opened. It's held closed with a magnetic snap closure and there are two weathered red canvas straps that fit over the shoulder or in the hand.

This bag makes quite a statement! You can find it in my store here.
