Olula

Olula is a lovely selection of handmade products by Madrid-based designer Cristina. She prides herself in creating quality, durable items inspired by simple geometric forms and nature. I love the way that the items are all pulled together by a satisfying colour palette.

You can see more items here.

Minimonos

I was first drawn to this Etsy store when I saw these beautiful black tree silk screened cushions. I then looked at the rest of the store and found that I loved it all!

It is run by Maite, a London based designer/maker who trained as a fashion designer but then discovered a passion for silk screen printing. She creates the screens and image from scratch and is inspired by many things, from industrial landscapes to 19th century illustrations. My particular favourites are the electricity pylon and gas cylinder holder cushion covers - dramatic modern pieces in a monochrome colour palette. You can see more of her lovely wares at her Etsy store here or on my Pinterest page here.

Chloe Croft

Chloe Croft must have a lot of patience. She creates beautiful works of art, each hand crafted from hundreds of painstakingly cut strips of layered parchment. I have come across this art form in Japan (and even attempted a class in cut paper) and it is an art that must take years to perfect. I only attempted a very simple project, but with works like these, I can't even imagine where you start. As well as being able to buy original works of art, you can also buy limited edition signed prints, cushions and blinds. You can check them out here.

Katie and the Wolf

I've just discovered this label with a fab name - "Katie and the Wolf". It is owned by Katie Proctor, a designer/maker who creates interior textiles and jewellery. She uses screen printing, applique, digital printing and hand painting to produce some quirky, original designs. I love her foxy Martha cushion, her screen printed and appliqued "Perch" cushion, and her "Birdy" lampshade.
