So little time

The aptly-named So Little Time Co. is run by Josh and Kirsty who create beautifully fresh brooches and necklaces that they call wearables. Each item is made from locally sourced wood, cut in Melbourne, and then hand painted and lovingly pieced together. Their items would go beautifully with a white summer dress and I love the modern take on the locket idea.

You can see more of their work here.

More quirkiness

For more quirky folk, check out these brooches by Dormouse Studio. They are the creations of North Carolina-based Sarah Pflasterer who describes her creations as wearable art. She has a formal background in illustration and design and much of her inspiration is derived from a fascination with fairy tales, folklore, nature and children's books. My favourite piece is the "Masked Girl" brooch, and you can see more of her beautiful work here.
