Indian Summer

Why not add a touch of Indian summer to your wardrobe with these stunning Indian sari clutches?! I bought the fabrics in India a while ago when we went to a friend's wedding, but the bags have only recently been created by me.

I have finally added them to my store and am so happy with them! Each one has a suitably bright lining and a detachable chain handle. I have also made a card case to match each clutch. I often find that I don't need to take my rather large wallet when I go out, so I 'decant' the essentials, such as credit card and cash, to my card case and just take that instead. It doesn't fill my clutch too much, allowing for more essential items such as makeup and phone. I've even managed to squeeze a pair of ballet pumps into one of my clutch bags before!

You can find all items in my store here.

A clutch of green clutches

Last Friday's fave fabric was a selection of green fabrics that I have in my collection. I have now made some of that fabric into stunning clutch bags that I am adding to my store over the next few days. Here they are! Each one is different and has a vibrant lining to compliment the outer fabric. I think my fave is the light green one with the hot pink kimono lining.

You can find them on my Etsy store here.

Fave fabric Friday

For this Friday's fabric choice, I couldn't decide on one fabric, so have gone for a colour theme instead! I realised that I have very few clutch bags in my collection that are made with green fabrics. After a good rummage through my Japanese obi fabrics and Indian sari fabrics, I have come up with quite a range of greens from vibrant lime greens to heavily ornamented deep green and gold.

Watch this space for some green additions to my store soon!

Indian inspiration

Friday's favourite fabric consisted of a selection of pieces that I bought whist in India last year. I was quite productive over the weekend and here is the first little creation from that selection. It's a melange of items that I have picked up on my travels, using a vibrant purple and gold sari fabric from India, combined with a purple Japanese obi fabric. I decided to add a trim of terracotta gross grain ribbon from France to create an accent, which has also been picked up in the colour of the lining.

You can find it in my Etsy store here.
