I arrived at Larnaca airport on Friday afternoon to be met by my friend residing in North Cyprus. After a 45 minute drive, we arrived at the border to northern Cyprus where we had to show our passports. One minute we are saying hello in Greek, the next minute we are saying hello in Turkish and entering a rather different world. Then on to the resort where the apartment is. After settling in, we headed straight for the beach, a ten minute walk to soft sand and warm sea. A walk along the beach was great to soak up the atmosphere, and a quick stop for a beer finished off a great evening.
