November 1st and 2nd is when the Day of the Dead is celebrated each year across Mexico, where prayer and remembrance take place for friends and family who have passed away. Altars are created in homes and cemeteries and traditional dishes are served. There are also parades and parties where revellers wear funky makeup and costumes and sing and dance. Decorative, stylised skulls are a large part of the celebrations and have become ubiquitous with this festivity.
I decided to create my own version of these funky skulls and have now added the design to many products in my Redbubble store.
