Faceture

I recently came across the work of designer Phil Cuttance, and had to share his work with you.

He creates beautifully simple yet complex vases and lampshades in chalky colours using triangular facets. These are produced using an innovative technique of casting water-based resin in a hand-cut plastic mould. Once the resin is dry, the mould is removed and you are left with a beautiful, one-off piece.

You can watch a film of how a vase is made, and find out more about his products here.

Beautiful brights

I love the designs of Roksanda Ilincic, the Serbian-born, London-based fashion designer who creates effortless elegance using an amazing array of juicy colours. You can choose from a selection of stunning column gowns with plunging backs to asymmetrical cocktail dresses, all beautifully draped from silks and satins in rich hues of tangerine, aqua and amethyst.

You can see more of her designs here.
