Mexican adventure - brunch at Eno

Monday morning started with brunch at Eno in Roma. We sat outside and soaked up the atmosphere. I ordered huevos enmarcado en pan brioche which roughly translates as eggs framed in brioche. It was topped with parmesan cheese and was scrumptious!

Mexican adventure - brunch at Ojo de Agua

There are so many wonderful food options in Mexico City and on Sunday morning we headed to Ojo de Agua to have a slap up brunch. Lee was great at knowing the best things to order and got us molletes which is an amazing version of beans on toast, smothered in cheese. I also ordered avocado and truffle on toast, topped with a fried egg and washed down with a glorious fruit juice served in a massive glass jar. We sat outside overlooking the square where dogs were paddling in the pond. I loved the interior of the restaurant which had one big sharing table and lights made from bottles in crates.

Mexican adventure - brunch at LALO

First port of call in a new city has to be brunch and Lee knows of a fab place in Roma called LALO. It’s a short walk from his place and consists of one large table down the centre of the room with a funky mural along one wall. We were given scrumptious pastries as a starter and then I chose chilaquiles which consists of tortilla chips and salsa verde, avocado, cream, cheese and cilantro with a fried egg on top. Heaven! We were even serenaded by a passing mariachi band!
