Polka dots

I love a good polka dot and think it can be beautifully classic. I was immediately drawn to this olive green and cream combo and decided to use a pretty green, purple and white decorative lining to compliment it. I also used a square frame instead of the usual slightly rounded ones, to give it a more classic shape. It is still called the Florence clasp bag - named after my lovely niece.

You can find it in my Etsy store here.

Ahoy there!

I've just added these nautical naughties to my Etsy store
I've had the bobble clasps for a while now and loved them, but wasn't sure what fabric to use with them. The bright stripes of the bobbles lent themselves very nicely to the nautical theme, so I matched them with corresponding blue and red anchor prints, with a contrasting polka dot lining. It's going to be very hard to part with them!

Spotty

I just put these dotty numbers on my Etsy store - the Florence clasp bag and the Lila coin purse. I love the juicy colour combinations and think they complement each other rather well. Each is lined with a contrasting colour so that the lining becomes as interesting as the outside.

Nellie

I just added this little Florence Clasp Bag to my Etsy store. I love the simple motif on the grey ground, and decided to add a shot of colour to the inside, with a fresh, funky striped lining. Other elephant images I like are Helen Dardik's quirky "Join the Circus" print, with an elephant donning shoes and Anna Hardinge's "Little Lions" print.

Everything But The Kitchen Sink

I have just added this little Florence clasp bag to my Etsy store. I love the retro '50s kitchen print with its simple images in bright colours. I decided to add a fab mustard yellow geometric lining to complement it. The design reminds me of the prints by Patrick Edgeley that I mentioned in a posting on February 14th.

Funky Dots

I've just added these clasp bags to my Etsy store and love the way the two colourways compliment each other. The linings are also complimentary, with the pink one having a brown polka dot lining and the brown one having a pink polka dot lining - ahhhh.

This style of bag is called the Florence Clasp bag, named after one of my beautiful nieces - she'll be 6 in a week!

Quite a Spectacle!

I just put these two little lovelies on my Etsy store. I'm loving the funky retro specs print on that luscious green ground, and it has a brightly striped lining to compliment it. I also love the juicy apple print, ideal for makeup or as a handbag organiser.

New Additions

I have just added these little lovelies to my Etsy store. I was obviously in a brown/bird mood today as they both use cute birdie floral prints. They both also have a green lining that picks out the colour from the outer print and compliments it rather nicely.

Little cuties

I have just added these little cuties to my Etsy store. I'm loving the funky prints, but am especially pleased with the vintage-style bobble details on the clasps. Most of the bobbles I use are made of plastic, but the stripey purse has wooden bobbles. Both purses have a sunny lime green dotty lining to compliment the outer print.
