Pretty in pink

 I designed this pink sarasa print for Makower UK recently. It's part of a collection called Tropica that includes jungle animals and tropical foliage in a bright colour palette. This sarasa print comes in three colour options but the pink one works especially well for bag-making.

I mocked up a few bag styles to see how this print would look. The first one is a cute clutch bag which would make a great addition to a wedding outfit or summer party frock.

I love these cross-body bags which always seem o fit so much in, despite their size and they fit conveniently across the body. The adjustable strap means you can also make it into a shoulder bag if you wish.

I love a tote bag and this one would be great for the beach. It's big enough o fit all the essentials for a day by the sea,

Nautical naughtiness

There's some nautical naughtiness going on at Cheeky Leopard today! These two fabulous seaside-inspired cosmetic bags are perfect for storing small items in and each has a kiss-clasp closure to keep your items safe. Use them as a gadget pouch, pencil case or makeup bag.

The multi coloured anchor print is a fun way to carry chargers and gadgets.

The lining to this anchor print is a fabulous over-sized red and white polka dot fabric.

Beach huts are a classic British seaside image and I love the fresh colouring of this one. Use it to store sunglasses and phone when on the beach.

 I'm loving this canvas cosmetic bag, made from a pleasing pink and green abstract floral design. It's the perfect size for carrying toiletries and make-up in, or use it as a gadget pouch or travel bag.

Snail's pace

It's not often that I do custom orders here at Cheeky Leopard, but when I do, I love the fact that I am making them for a specific person in mind. This customer loved the snail tote I had in my store, but wanted slightly different dimensions. Luckily I still had some of the fabric in my stash - a fab black, turquoise and beige snail fabric that I bought in Tokyo - so I was able to make it up for her.

 The bag includes a large bottle pocket on the side that was requested by my customer.

The customer also requested a pocket on the front and back of the bag to store her phone and pens.

Darling dachshunds

At the weekend I had a bit of a sort out of my fabric stash and rediscovered this fab dachshund fabric. I got a bit busy and ended up with a tote, iPad sleeve and glasses case combo!

Time for the beach!

I'm off on my hols next week and can't wait! A week in France will be very welcome. I'm looking forward to sampling the tasty food, sipping on fine wine and soaking up some rays. Maybe I'll take one of these lovely anchor items with me. An anchor tote is perfect for the beach and a matching glasses case just finishes it off nicely!

I just added these two summer items to my Etsy store. I love the modern, stylised butterfly print and the juicy coral and pink colourway, and decided to use a sherbet orange lining to give it a zing of colour when the bag is opened. The tote bag is the perfect size for a day at the beach, or a picnic in the park and has two sturdy canvas straps. The coin purse is a great partner to the tote bag and works as a handy pouch for your iphone headphones or for storing loose change.
