Blimey it's December already! Christmas is fast approaching and with it comes the mayhem of present-buying and decoration-hanging. I'm not that into decorations, but recently found these fab origami christmas trees online and loved their simplicity. They would make the perfect table centrepiece and varying the size of each one adds a bit of interest. I chose soft pastel colours for mine, but brights would work just as well.
I found the tutorial though the blog of Anna-Maria Moschouti-Vermeer, a jewellery designer living and working in Rotterdam.
Below you can see a step-by-step picture guide on how to make the tree and there is also a video of how to do it on her blog.
On top of creating these beautiful trees, Anna-Maria also creates beautiful jewellery pieces which she sells through Etsy. She is officially an architect and creates jewellery that is inspired by architecture. You can see some of her beautiful pieces below.
Now I'm off to do some more folding. I could have a whole forest by the end of the week!
Wow that's one hell of a tribute! Thank you so so much, I really appreciate your post! Hope you had fun folding!! i sure did :) And thanks for the jewelry mention too :) You're amazing! love & happy holiday season!
