I recently came across Isabelle de Borchgrave, an artist who creates stunning costumes out of paper. After a trip to the Metropolitan Muesum in New York in the 90s, she was inspired to create costumes ranging from the Elizabthen era to the present day, using only paper and paints. The result is beautifully styled period pieces, embellished with rich colours and vibrant pattern. All these items are created in her beautiful new studio space in Brussels. You can see more of her work here.
